HOW TO LOAD VINYL IN A VINYL CUTTER
1.) Most vinyl cutters come with a stand with a media
roller on the back, or a desktop media roller to sit
behind your vinyl cutter. If you are cutting from a roll,
place the roll on the media roller. If you’re just cutting
a sheet, you don’t have to worry about that.

2.) Lift the pinch rollers using the levers on your cutter.
Some just have one for both wheels, others have one
on each wheel.

3.) The front of your vinyl cutter should have several lines
on them. These are the only acceptable places to put
your pinch rollers. On most cutters, if you do not put
your wheels under one of these lines, you will get an
error, the blade head will just continue to go back and
forth, or it simply won’t cut. Your cutter will ONLY cut
in between the two wheels. And you have to use the
right-most lines for your right wheel. Then choose the
best position for your left wheel based off of the size
of your material. Again, your cutter will only cut
between the two wheels, so make sure you are
getting your wheels as close to the edge of the
material as possible to get as much cuttable area as
possible.

4.) Lower the lever(s) to secure your vinyl. Now, use the
arrows on your cutter to extend the material out of
the front of the cutter. Watch the wheels and the
material going through it carefully to make sure that
the media is tracking straight and will stay underneath
the wheels.

5.) PERFORM A TEST CUT. You want your blade pressure
to be high enough to cut through the vinyl, but not so
high that it also cuts into the liner.

6.) You are now ready to send your art to your cutter.
